In this project, the goal is to provide the client with two beneficial perfectives of their tenant space. The client wants to open Bella Gente Cosmetic Surgery Center in Greenpark Medical Office Building in Houston, Texas. Bella Gente deals with all non-surgical procedures, such as Facials, Botox, Laser, and has contact with the Patients.
In the process of designing the space, I started out with what the client needed, such as the spaces, amount of employees and the requirements for each of the spaces and make it all fit within a 5,9840 Square Feet. With the requirements in mind, I wanted to make the Reception & Waiting Room the central hub of the space and the Medical and Business spaces branch out. The medical side of the office had to include a back door for the Medical staff to come and go with out being seen by patients. The Nursing Station, Medical Assistant, and Physician’s Offices are all closely adjacent to the exam rooms, where they would come into contact with the patients. The Business Offices are all adjacent to each other, as well.
When designing the space, I wanted to mix Modern and Spa design together. The modern shows in the ceilings, furniture and fixtures. The Spa design is shown in the neutral colors of the floors and walls, the lobby and hallway waterfalls keep the space tranquil, as well as, provide an acoustical barrier. Natural Light was important in designing the space and some how bringing light to most of the spaces in the Medical Office. The majority of rooms are along the window side of the structure and either have floor to ceiling windows or frosted glass to add natural light.
